Welcome to MenuStudio ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible via menustudio.in. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of restaurant owners, staff, and diners scanning menus.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we safeguard it, and what choices you have regarding your data when using our Progressive Web Application (PWA) and MenuStudio services.
2Information We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to provide and optimize our MenuStudio platform:
A. Restaurant Owner Account Data
When you register a restaurant account, we collect your name, email address, hashed password, restaurant contact phone number, address, currency settings, and business profile details.
B. Restaurant Content & Food Media
Categories, dish names, pricing in ₹, descriptions, dietary tags (Veg, Non-Veg, Vegan), spiciness levels, special offers, and food photographs uploaded to our media storage servers.
C. Customer & Diner Analytics (Scanning & Feedback)
When diners scan a QR code to view a menu, we do not require login or personal registration. We collect anonymous aggregate usage data such as total QR scans, timestamp of scan, browser User-Agent, and star ratings/comments voluntarily submitted via the customer rating bar.
3How We Use Your Information
- To create, host, and render high-speed MenuStudio menus for smartphone browsers.
- To provide restaurant owners with real-time dish management, QR Studio vector downloads, and rating analytics.
- To authenticate account logins using secure JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and encrypted refresh sessions.
- To respond to customer support inquiries and provide AI menu digitization assistance.
- To monitor app performance, prevent fraud, and maintain network security.
4Cookies, PWA Storage & Local Data
MenuStudio utilizes browser LocalStorage and essential cookies to maintain logged-in state (`accessToken` and `refreshToken`), preserve offline app caching (Service Worker shell), and save active restaurant preferences. We do not use intrusive third-party tracking cookies or ad networks.
5Data Protection & Security Standard
Enterprise Encryption & Access Control
Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt hashing (12 salt rounds). All network traffic is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Database records are stored securely in cloud infrastructure with chronologically sortable UUIDv7 identifiers.
6Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate our platform, including:
- Cloud Hosting & Delivery: For securely hosting our application and delivering content quickly to your customers.
- Managed Databases: For secure storage of your restaurant profile and digital menus.

7Your Data Rights & Deletion Requests
Restaurant owners have the right to inspect, edit, or permanently delete their restaurant profile, menu categories, dishes, and account data at any time. To request full account and data deletion, please contact our support desk.
